1.10.2 Open Water Diver Course (OWD)

The Open Water Diver (OWD) course is designed for those who are interested in what it’s like underwater. With diving equipment, you will have plenty of time to explore and examine life underwater. After completing the course, you will master basic theory, safe diving and its principles, including first aid techniques.

First level of recreational diving with international SSI certification to a depth of up to 18m.

We provide the “open water diving” course either in Czech locations or in “salty” destinations in Croatia, Egypt, or Malta, or elsewhere by agreement. It is up to you where you want to start diving and choose the location and method of completing the course accordingly.

We will lend you everything. Just bring the towel and some warm clothing (even if there is summer).

The course is for anyone 15+ years old. We are also able to create an individual terms for foreign students.

Registration is mandatory. When you register for a course, you will receive a confirmation email and we will send you an invoice approximately 1 week before the event.

The price includes everything you need to successfully complete the course. This means rental of all diving equipment, pool admission, electronic teaching materials, and course completion certificates.

The price does not include transportation to dive sites (pools or open water), food, accommodation, or other personal expenses.

COURSE DETAIL

Theoretical preparation
You will learn the information and skills that every diver must know before diving underwater with breathing apparatus for the first time. You will arrange lessons with your instructor according to your schedule, and he will go through all six chapters of your textbook with you. They will give you a lecture accompanied by a practical demonstration of each point of the course and a PowerPoint presentation. Together, you will also go through the correct answers to the test questions so that nothing will surprise you in the final test, which you must pass after completing the theoretical lessons.

Practical exercises in the pool
After successfully completing the theoretical preparation, you will dive in confined water. For the first time, you will apply what you have learned so far. Under the direct supervision of an instructor, you will prepare to become a good diver.

Completion in open water
Together with your instructor, you have mastered the theory and preparation in the pool, so now the real adventure can begin! Your first moments in the underwater world, a world of silence, peace, and tranquility, await you. During the open water lessons, you will test your acquired skills and knowledge.

After successfully completing the course, you will receive SSI certification, which will allow you to dive to a depth of 18 meters in all waters around the world!
