The workshop includes a detailed introduction to the theory of selecting and using light amplification-based night vision devices, combining them with thermal imaging, basic handling and device settings, focusing and changing focal planes, working with illumination, and target identification.
You will get an information about night vision options (image intensification vs. thermal imaging), concepts and terms, NVD components (housing, lens, eyepiece, switch and power management, accessories), types of housings, Image Intensifier Tubes (IITs) and their components (photocathode, MCP, phosphor screen, etc.), history and classification (generations and contracts, HyMa vs. GAAS), Out of Band, converter parameters, manufacturers, white vs. green, housings and their selection, accessories, and mounting.
You will practically test a lot of NVDs so you will choose your device by the right decision.
